Project components.

I hav decided to update new IC's, sensors or other things that may be needed and that are available and can be affectively used in our projects.........

IR detectors
The Sharp IR Range Finder is probably the most powerful sensor available to the everyday robot hobbyist. It is extremely effective, easy to use, very affordable ($10-$20), very small, good range (inches to meters), and has low power consumption.

How it Works
The Sharp IR Range Finder works by the process of triangulation. A pulse of light (wavelength range of 850nm +/-70nm) is emitted and then reflected back (or not reflected at all). When the light returns it comes back at an angle that is dependent on the distance of the reflecting object. Triangulation works by detecting this reflected beam angle - by knowing the angle, distance can then be determined.

The IR range finder reciever has a special precision lens that transmits the reflected light onto an enclosed linear CCD array based on the triangulation angle. The CCD array then determines the angle and causes the rangefinder to then give a corresponding *analog value to be read by your microcontroller. Additional to this, the Sharp IR Range Finder circuitry applies a modulated frequency to the emitted IR beam. This ranging method is almost immune to interference from ambient light, and offers amazing indifference to the color of the object being detected. In other words, the sensor is capable of detecting a black wall in full sunlight with almost zero noise.

Free Website Building Tools That Are Good Replacements for Google Page Creator
Ads by Google Reverse Auction Script The best Penny Auction Script Starting an online business now www.guruscript.com

Google Page Creator AlternativesGoogle Page Creator is awesome – anyone can build a good looking website in minutes using the built-in templates or they can write pages externally (say in Dreamweaver) and upload them to Creator.

And everything is free – there are no ads on your pages and Google takes care of all the web hosting bills. But as they say, all good things come to an end, and so is Google Page Creator getting replaced by Google Sites.

Compare Google Sites with Google Page Creator

While Google Sites and Google Pages have common feature (like the WYSIWYG AJAX editor), they are still quite different. For instance, you can’t upload HTML pages to Google Sites and are therefore limited to using one of the built-in themes for your site design.

The second issue is that if you make a Google Site public, the associated ‘site activity log’ also becomes public – most website publisher will have reservations sharing this data with unknown visitors. Lastly, all external hyperlinks are ‘nofollow’ if that means anything to you.
Free Alternatives to Google Page Creator

Here’s a roundup of some website building services that are free and non-technical.

1. Office Live Small Business – While the name may suggest that the service is only for small business owners, just about anyone can create their website here.

India gets something new......

Symbol of Indian Currency NEW DELHI,
India :- Finally Indian Rupee got its own symbol, a much awaited release which will lend the Indian currency a unique identity in the Global markets. The Cabinet approved symbol is an amalgam of the Devanagari ‘Ra’ and the Roman capital ‘R’ without the stem and two parallel lines running at the top. The Symbol has a distinctive character resembling a blend of modernity and Indian culture, distinguishing it from currencies of other countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia which also use the word “Rupee” or “Rupiah” to identify their respective currencies.

The need for a universal symbol was felt because even today, the rupee is known differently in different parts of India. As rupaya (Hindi), rupiyo (Gujarati), roopayi (Telugu), (Tulu) and (Kannada) or one of the other terms derived from Sanskrit. And in West Bengal, Tripura, Mizoram, Orissa, and Assam, the Indian Rupee is officially known by names derived from the Sanskrit, Tanka. The hunt for the symbol began on March 5, 2009 when the Indian Government announced a contest to create a universal symbol for the Rupee, to eliminate diversification and also because of its ever-growing influence on Global markets.

The symbol will be used once it is accepted by the International Unicode Consortium’s Unicode Technical Committee that is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Unicode Standard. Reportedly, the new Rupee will also find its way onto keyboards of Indian manufactured computer systems and various Operative softwares, once Nasscom approaches IT firms to embed the symbol in various softwares (as an update).

The symbol selected has been designed by an IIT-Bombay PG D Udaya Kumar and was selected from among five short listed symbols. Kumar, who will join the Department of Design at IIT Guwahati on Friday, explained that the design is based on the Indian Tricolour.

“My design is based on the Tricolour with two lines at the top and white space in between. I wanted the symbol for the Rupee to represent the Indian flag. It is a perfect blend of Indian and Roman letters: a capital ‘R’, and Devnagari ’Ra’, which represent rupiya, to appeal to international and Indian audiences. After working on the design for few months, I shortlisted eight to 10 designs and then refined them further till I got this one,” said Kumar.

His entry was chosen from 3,331 designs competing for the currency symbol. He will get an award of Rs 2.5 lakh. All new notes will now bear the symbol. The top 5 selections will receive Rs 25K each irrespective of getting selected as the final symbol. The entries were presented to the Jury in such a manner that identity of the competitors was not revealed to the Jury members. The Jury selected five final entries and also gave its evaluation of these five entries to the Government to take a final decision.

However, it seems that the other side of this story has been neglected.

Mr. Rakesh Singh filed an RTI to find out the selection process. Here is what he found – There were total of 3331 entries that came in from the design competition announced by Indian Government. The jurors took only 17 hours to go through all the 3331 designs, which means roughly 18 seconds per design were given. The RTI query also clearly shows that the procedure was not at all transparent – It was not video-graphed, which now-a-days is a norm for all such government decisions. Additionally, whole jury was not present during the Rupee symbol presentations.

Save the Tiger.A Gyani initiative

” Save the tigers “
i would like to start by showin some statistical information about the Tigers in India and it can be observed from the followin graph

it is clear from the above graph that number of the tigers in India are decreasing at an alarming rate.

here is a link from where u can read a magazine dedicated to all the animal enthusiasts all over the country.

http://projecttiger.nic.in/whtsnew/STRIPES1_nov-dec_2009.pdf

STRIPES | BI-MONTHLY OUTREACH JOURNAL OF NATIONAL TIGER CONSERVATION AUTHORITY,
A STATUTORY BODY UNDER MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

Now the ? that arised in my mind how as an individual can i save the Tiger…am i right?

So lets understand the importance of these tigers in the ecosystem before that lets know why we need to protect them and their habitat

Since tigers are at the top of the ecological “food-chain”, their conservation
results in the overall conservation of all other species of plants and
animals occupying the ecosystem. Tigers are indicators of the well being of the ecosystem.

A healthy tiger population indicates that the other ecological components in its habitat are equally robust, since tigers need large amountof prey and good habitat.

The investments made in a project of this kind are more thanjustified. Tiger conservation results in several intangible but yet life–supporting benefits too!
Some such environmental externalities are:

  1. Tons and tons of fuel wood are used by us which release the carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere.
Presence of a large quantum of carbon in the atmosphere due to several such emissions at a larger scale increases the “green house” effect contributing to the depletion of the ozone layer which is lethal, and hence the absorption of carbon by the forest vegetation becomes
important for our survival, facilitated to a large extent by the forest cover conserved in tiger reserves and other protected areas. Presence of continuous forest cover to a depth of about ten km impacts the climate of the nearby area (almost upto hundred km).
  2. This phenomenon is beneficial to both human beings as well asThe evapotranspiration from trees contribute to marginal increase in rainfall in the area, and becomes an additional advantage wherever the
    ground water is also sufficient.
  3. Water harvesting
The forest growth reduces the surface run-off and facilitates water
storage as well as loss of top soil due to erosion, which may other wise
lead to reduction of impoundment in storage devices. The layer of decaying organic matter on a forest floor and the root system of the
vegetation growing on it facilitate infiltration of water

4. Their presence adds to the aesthetic beauty of the nature.

Now how can ppl like me and u help in protecting these wonderful creatures.

  • Please realize that the living conditions in rural areas near the tiger are very difficult and it takes a long time to adapt to the local culture before being any help to the tiger. However, if you think that you have the dedication to make a long term commitment and/or have special technical skills or background to help the tiger on-site, please contact various NGO’s which are in to protecting them
  • Informing nearby forest officials if u know of any poaching activity taking place in ur locality.
  • Don’t ask for products that are made from their bones and skin.
  • TCM ( traditional Chinese medicines)<<<<>

” I myself as an animal enthusiast would try at ma level to protect these mustached creature….hahahahah…..and one more thing….saving the tiger alone will not help ……we need to save the tigress tooo….lol ;-) )”

eagerly waitin for ur comments …..

Shaheed Jawan tujhe salaam.

"Amar jawan "

Woke up in the morning as usual with a cup of tea and a newspaper in ma hand.
The tea lost its taste and value wen i read “73 jawans killed by maoists “.
Holdingthe paper more firmly in ma hand trying to get in to the minutes of what happened was shocked to learn that the maoists outnumbered the jawan in both number and weapons.
outnumbering in number is acceptable, but the weapons, i mean how can u send our jawans to fight with any sort of enemy without proper arms and ammunition’s.
I deeply mourn their death, may god grant strength to their family and friends so that they can overcome this shock.
I want these anti-social elements to be removed from or society by any means.
God bless us all……….

Naxalism its cause.

. Chalo lets differentiate between Naxalite and Terrorist……

  1. Naxalite is a person who is fightin against the system to get his so called fundamental rights according to him.
  2. Terrorist is a person who is mislead by some ppl who make them feel that the target country is the cause of their suffering….in short these peoples are against the country

India is great country,no doubt its true …….it has given the world many billionares and millionares……

The distribution of wealth is so uncertain in India that 1/3 of the population holds more than 73% of nations income……

eg;

India is the place where some buy a jetplane,or an island on birthday of their children and wives on the other hand some struggling to feed their children……..

Now arise of Naxalism

If u where a farmer but u hav no land of urself instead u work for others and ur not paid enough to feed ur children wat wud you do……

It’s so certain u can’t bear this for too long……atleast not me….so wat wud u do whom will u approach when the nearest police station is more than 50-100 km from ur place…..no one to listen…..no Robinhood…..no one u urself and ur hungry children……

Now y did i write a police station ther’s an article in our constitution ……..dunno the article number which states” there is some limit to which a person can hold land” theres a mathematical relation which gives the exact amount…….so the person in that area holding the land more than the allowed limit is subject to be prosecution ………dunno y these artilces aren’t implemented for Tata,Birla,Godrej& Ambani’s.

This mother in the pic below is also a Naxal can u tell me about the future of the child she holds in her hand……?

Do u think this lady dressed as a Naxalite is mighty enough to stand against our mighty Indian Army "NO" is the answer.......she has held the gun in her hand to provide a better future to her children which evry parent feels.....she does'nt want her child to face the things which she has been through...........

Instrumentation Engineering.

Instrumentation Engineers may be the reason of your” UNEMPLOYMENT”
The reason to write this topic was an incidet that happend yesday….
A guy came to us and he asked “wat is this instrumentation engineering enginering all about”…..
one of ma frend give him such weird examples of wat he could do after becomin an instrumentation engineer.
After listening to the examples given i wud hav neva opted for instrumentation engineeirng……
lemme clear all our myths regardin instrumentation engineering…….

here it goes……
After our cet….ppl with good marks in CET have many options like
  1. EXTC.
  2. COMPS
  3. INFT
  4. Biomedical
  5. Chemical
  6. Mechanical
  7. Electronics
  8. Electrical
  9. Instrumentation
(NOTE: The sequence mentioned above is the preference by ppl with good marks in descending order…i mean ppl wit highest go for EXTC or Comps and ppl with less marks normally opt for one of the three mentioned at the bottom)
Now i would like to clear some things which i feel is necessary to be cleared before making my point.
The only two universities in maharashtra that are worth investing are
  1. Mumbai university
  2. Pune university
To add to this i wud like to say….doing Instrumentaion engineering from Mumbai University or Pune University is much better than doin EXTC from ….other Universities ….i wudn’t take name of any university.
Its a fact tat one really needs a Seminar to understand “Scope Of Instrumentation”……coz the scopes are so wide ranging from a small factory …..shopping malls to as big as nuclear reactors……everyone needs an instrumentation engineer.
People taking Instrumentation Engineering at Advantage.
Question is how ….?
The answer goes like this ….the number of students opting for instrumentation engineering counting from both Mumbai and Pune uiniversity doesnt exceeds more than 2750 students
While the number of students opting for EXTC in Mumbai and pune university exceeds more than 29000 students.
I am not against competition…competition is the sole to decide success….i love competitors……but from the strategic point of view…..We have less competition….and number of student to job ratio is compartively high.I am not biased and i mean it…….
Chalo !!!….some other advantage of us over others……
I wud just like to clear this thing wen u deserve a post u get it being in any field doesnt makes much difference………
Now INFT( tats IT )….job of these ppl are done by ppl of BSc -IT and at much cheaper rates doesnt leaves much option …….This is the most booming field …..and will see more boost in the coming years……Private Institutes like NIIt much industry oriented professional……
In short i wanna say……..people of other branches like ( EXTC,Mechanical ,instrumentation,Biomedical,Electronics,Electrical) do not fear such private infestation…….
Wat an instrumentation engineer does……heres an example that will clear evrything u can do……
A master(engineer) wants his process variable(level in tanks, flow rate in pipes valves, mixing rate, temperature, pressure, moisture, concentration and many more…..) to work within certain specifies limits and get a desired output. Now in order to control a variable u need to measure that variable….and regulate to avoid hazardous conditions. To measure and control a particular variable is the job of the instrumentation engineer.
eg;
In a nuclear reactor gettin exposed to radiations is undesired so we need some device that measures these radiations it may include photoplates…..similar to the one that led to the discovery of uranium. After observing these plates an alarm can be actuated automatically and forcing a system shut down protecting the workers and in some cases the Reactor.
With the development of new softwares like labVIEW( virtual instrumentation engineers workspace),SCADA,PLC,AUTOMATIX….etc the interfacing with the DCS(digital control system) and DAQ(data acquisition systems)….and with development of DSP(digital signal processors) the work has become more easier and more trustworthy.
I myself as an instrumentation engineer is proud and happy to part ma knowledge with u all…….
No one has suceeded without criticism…… i would be highly obliged to read anything against ma views….
Ther may be some points tat i would add to this …..very soon njoy the monsoon…..God bless us all…….!!!!!

Boot from a USB flash drive.

A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO CONSIDER IN ADVANCE.
1. The PC has to support booting from a USB flash/pen/key drive. There may be anywhere from 1-3 items to change in the BIOS to make this possible assuming your BIOS supports it. Some bios’s may refer to your flash drive as a USB floppy or USB zip. Of course there are exceptions, perhaps some are covered here.
2. The USB flash drive must support booting from it in general.
3. The flash drive must contain the boot/system files.
4. The flash drive must have bootsector area. This is done with special utilities.
5. References to “A:” drive lines in the autoexec.bat and/or config.sys files you copy to the drive after you make it bootable may result in errors.
6. You “may” have to format your floppy disk first in WinXP before you create a bootdisk as XP may “not” like working later on with a disk formatted otherwise.
7. Included below is a bootable ISO of DOS 7.1 which may be used with some of these methods if you do not have a 1.44 drive.

USB guide, here I assume that you are using either Vista or Windows 7 to create a bootable USB.

1. Insert your USB (4GB+ preferable) stick to the system and backup all the data from the USB as we are going to format the USB to make it as bootable.

2. Open elevated Command Prompt. To do this, type in CMD in Start menu search field and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Alternatively, navigate to Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.

3. When the Command Prompt opens, enter the following command:

DISKPART and hit enter.

LIST DISK and hit enter.

Once you enter the LIST DISK command, it will show the disk number of your USB drive. In the below image my USB drive disk no is Disk 1.

4. In this step you need to enter all the below commands one by one and hit enter. As these commands are self explanatory, you can easily guess what these commands do.

SELECT DISK 1 (Replace DISK 1 with your disk number)

CLEAN

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

SELECT PARTITION 1

ACTIVE

FORMAT FS=NTFS

(Format process may take few seconds)
ASSIGN

EXIT

Don’t close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.

5. Insert your Windows DVD in the optical drive and note down the drive letter of the optical drive and USB media. Here I use “D” as my optical (DVD) drive letter and “H” as my USB drive letter.

6. Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:

D:CD BOOT and hit enter. Where “D” is your DVD drive letter.

CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.
BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:

(Where “H” is your USB drive letter)

7. Copy Windows DVD contents to USB.

You are done with your bootable USB. You can now use this bootable USB as bootable DVD on any computer that comes with USB boot feature (most of the current motherboards support this feature).

Note:U can make a bootable usb disk for Xp but u can’t create a bootable usb disk using XP

njoy withe me frens still more to come………

god bless us all……..

Everyone wants bhagat singh but at neighbours house.

” I salute u great man…..”

Date of birth: September 27, 1907
Place of birth: Lyallpur, Punjab, British India
Date of death: March 23, 1931
Place of death: Lahore, Punjab, British India
Movement: Indian Independence movement
Major organizations: Naujawan Bharat Sabha, Kirti Kissan Party and Hindustan Socialist Republican Association
Religion: Sikhism (early life), Atheist (later life) Influences Anarchism, Communism, Socialism

Bhagat Singh (Punjabi: ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ بھگت سنگھ, IPA: [pə̀gət̪ sɪ́ŋg]) (September 27, 1907[1] – March 23, 1931) was an Indian freedom fighter, considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh (the word shaheed means “martyr”).
Born to a family which had earlier been involved in revolutionary activities against the British Raj in India, Singh, as a teenager, had studied European revolutionary movements and was attracted to anarchism and communism. He became involved in numerous revolutionary organizations. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) and became one of its leaders, converting it to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA). Singh gained support when he underwent a 63-day fast in jail, demanding equal rights for Indian and British political prisoners. He was hanged for shooting a police officer in response to the killing of veteran freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. His legacy prompted youth in India to begin fighting forIndian independence and also increased the rise of socialism in India.

This was a short introduction about veer shaheed Bhagat Singh.Everyone of us reading it there might have liked the heroic deeds of late Bhagat Singh but how many of us wud want our kids or people whom we love to join the army to fight for the country…..i guess handfull of us…..so sad….

I wud lik to bring to ur notice an SMS that says….

” In India an Olympic shooter wins gold medal at the Olympics & Govt. of India gifts him 3 crores…..while 76 shooters who died(shaheed) fighting naxalites protecting their motherland…..the Govt. of India gives them 1 lakh each….”

India is great……!!!!!!! indeed….

hoping to see a change….soon
